Nominations Open for the Second Annual Global Football Industry Awards

Football’s future continues to be shaped far beyond the pitch – by the leaders, innovators, and organisations driving the game forward behind the scenes. Now, nominations are officially open for the second annual Global Football Industry Awards, returning to London on 5 November 2026.

Building on the momentum of a standout debut year, the awards are back and will once again unite the most influential minds in football business for a high-impact celebration of innovation, leadership, and game-changing ideas shaping the sport worldwide.

Hosted by football legends Jamie Carragher and Peter Crouch, the 2026 ceremony promises to shine an even brighter spotlight on the individuals and initiatives shaping football’s growth off the pitch.

From commercial partnerships redefining the business of sport to grassroots programmes creating access and opportunity in underserved communities, the awards honour those driving meaningful progress – sustainably, inclusively, and globally.

Launching this year’s awards, Carragher said:

“After seeing the impact of the first year, it’s clear just how important it is to recognise the people behind the scenes in football. The game relies on so many individuals working tirelessly away from the spotlight, and these awards are about giving them the credit they deserve as we head into an even bigger second year.”

Crouch added:

“Football is so much more than what happens on matchday. There’s an entire industry powering it – from innovation and business to community work – and it’s brilliant to see those contributions celebrated.”

Organisations, brands, agencies, and individuals from across the football industry are invited to submit nominations across a wide range of categories, recognising leadership, innovation, and social impact.

Entries will be reviewed by an expert judging panel representing diverse perspectives across sport, business, media, and community development.

As the awards enter their second year, the mission remains clear: to amplify the stories that often go unheard and celebrate the people and programmes powering football’s evolution at every level.

Nominations are open now until 01 August 2026 at www.globalfootballawards.com.
