Two of football’s most iconic voices, Ian Wright and Jamie Carragher, are set to co-host the inaugural Global Football Industry Awards.
Taking place on Thursday 20 November 2025 in London, the awards will bring together football’s most influential business leaders, changemakers, and innovators for a night celebrating the unsung heroes driving the sport’s evolution around the world.
Carragher, who also helped found the event, and Wright will lead the evening’s celebrations, highlighting the brands, organisations, and individuals redefining football through bold ideas, purpose-driven work, and commercial innovation.
“Football is so much more than what happens on the pitch – it’s built by people, partnerships, and ideas that often go unseen,” said Jamie Carragher. “It’s time those efforts got the recognition they deserve.”
Ian Wright added: “I’m excited to co-host the very first edition of the Global Football Industry Awards on 20 November – where we will get to celebrate and recognise the real people, brands, and businesses behind the game.
“I hope these awards inspire even more young people into the many industries supporting the game and ensure we continue to grow and protect football around the world.”*
Unlike traditional football award shows, the Global Football Industry Awards will spotlight excellence off the pitch – in areas like sponsorship, marketing, sustainability, grassroots development, diversity and inclusion, and investment in women’s football.
From industry leaders and agencies to emerging disruptors and community trailblazers, the awards will unite a truly global cast of football contributors. Winners will be selected by a respected judging panel made up of experts and figures from across the game.
Set to be a major new fixture in the football calendar, the Global Football Industry Awards will honour the work shaping the future of the game, with innovation, inclusion, and impact at its heart.
